Youtube experiences rare downage…Youtube hacked?
Popular video sharing site Youtube.com, one of the most popular web sites on the entire internet, was down early morning US Western Time January 19 2010.
Millions of visitors to Youtube were met with a white screen on browsers with a text message: “Http/1.1 Service Unavailable”
Youtube, owned by Google Inc., is a web site frequented by tens of millions every day.
At writing there was no word from Google about the issues. Tweeters and technology watchers speculated that the Youtube web site downage on Tuesday morning January 17 was connected to Googles recent troubles with Chinese hackers.
“It’s not too far fetched to think this downtime is a result of a cyber attack,” speculated tech watchers at Mashable.com
